Electronic company reminders

companies house filingReceiving your company notices electronically by email is an ideal way to ensure you do not miss important reminder notices from Companies House.

Every year UK companies are required to file documents at Companies House. The two main documents that must be submitted by deadlines are a copy of the company’s abbreviated accounts and the Confirmation Statement which has replaced the annual return. Companies House issue reminders that these documents are due when the filing dates approach. These are normally posted to the registered office address.

Failure to file documents on time can lead to penalties being issued against the company. Companies House may take action to dissolve the company. Failure to file accounts by a company director is a criminal offence and may lead to prosecution and penalties issued by courts.

To ensure you receive your reminder notices Companies House now offer an electronic version of the reminder notices. By registering for email reminders you can provide several email addresses for your company so that all notices are sent electronically.
